Today I was accelerating normally when the engine started losing power and sounding rough. At first I thought I probably had a bad injector but then I noticed my passenger side EGT was way up “I have left and right side Greddy EGT gauges.” At 45-50, the temps for the passenger side was around 900 to 1000 degrees while the driver side was about 650. Later I troubleshot the engine to find that all cylinders are firing normally and compression is ok, but the passenger side bank sparkplugs are super white while the one plug that I pulled on the driver side is normal. It’s been about fifteen years since the timing belt has been replaced and has about 45-50k on it.
So it's my guess that the belt is worn out. Any other thoughts? Thanks!
